PowerSchool Version 9.2 is out

I will be updating our PowerSchool version from 8.1 to 9.2 this winter break.

I like some of the new features in 9 and I think enough time has passed to upgrade in a more safer environment.

If you have a bunch of customizations installed. There’s probably a few changes in the latest version that may mess with your customizations.

Dear PowerSchool Customer,

PowerSchool 9.2 is available now! This latest release boosts the customer experience, and addresses a number of customer-requested improvements. You’ll enjoy increased efficiency and greater ability to customize the way you access and view your data.

Key enhancements to PowerSchool 9.2 include:

Preview release of PowerSchool Enterprise Reporting built on Oracle Application Express (APEX) —Broader, more flexible reporting capabilities with pre-built interactive reports that are fully customizable. PowerSchool Enterprise Reporting allows school PowerSchool administrative users to create and distribute their own ad hoc reports, and allows access to your full PowerSchool database, further expanding reporting capability.

Health Screenings Data Grid and Visualization—At-a-glance summary of data showing students who have or have not completed their required health screenings. You can easily drill-down from lists of students in order to take immediate action.

At-Risk Students Data Grid and Visualization—Quickly view a customizable list of students at various levels of academic risk based on grades and attendance, and drill-down to individual students to remediate.

Data Export Manager—Enhanced flexibility in security configurations, using role-based assignments for access to specific tables or even full data access. Permissions may be easily assigned by system administrators to allow selective access to data by other admin users.

User Interface—PowerSchool views have greater customization capabilities to provide a better and more fluid user experience.

Training Videos—Updated Mastery in Minutes videos are easily accessible from a link on the PowerSchool start page.
